Recently NBC-2 ran a story right up my alley! On Thursday May 25, 2023, they did a story recommending single-family lot buyers to have an environmental study done as part of their due diligence. They pointed out what I tell all my clients: without it, you could be in for a very costly unexpected expense, along with lost time. Gopher tortoises, burrowing owls, and wetlands are common in Southwest Florida, and you need to know if a property has any of these issues pre-purchase.
